After-school clubs, Autumn Term 2024

Dear parents / guardians,                                                                          10^th September 2024

After-school clubs provide additional experiences for the children on top of their usual school day, and we plan a variety of activities where possible. The teachers that run these clubs are doing so in their own free time, for which we are very grateful.

If your child is keen to attend a club, please log into Arbor and sign up by clicking into ‘Activities > Clubs’ - bookings will open at 6pm today (Tuesday 10^th September). If your child is in Year 5 or Year 6 and will walk home after the club rather than be collected, please consent to that by signing them up to the ‘walk home permission’ club as well.

This term we continue to have Andy from ‘Big Shots football club’ here running an after-school football club. This will be from 3.15 to 4.15pm on Thursdays and to book, you need to go direct to him: Padstow School After-School Football Club - Booking by Bookwhen He is again charging £35 for the 10-week block of football lessons – see poster overleaf.

In addition to the after-school clubs, Mrs Bruce will again be running our popular Key Stage 2 Choir, on Tuesday lunchtimes.

Choir – Tuesday lunchtimes, starting next week (17^th September):

As it’s the start of a new academic year, we invite any pupils in years 3 to 6 to join the Choir and begin lunch-time rehearsals with Mrs Bruce. Children will take their lunch early that day, so that they can attend the rehearsal at 12.30pm, starting on Tuesday 17^th September.

As always, if you have any issue booking into a club on Arbor, please ring the school office and we will book your child in.
